Frame Materials

Metal is one of the most popular materials for eyeglass frames, favored for its sleek appearance, corrosion resistance, and ease of shaping.

Among metal options, titanium stands out for being exceptionally lightweight, strong, and durable—yet still highly resistant to rust and tarnish.   Titanium frames maintain their shape better than many other metals thanks to the material’s natural resilience: they may bend under pressure but spring back reliably.   Available in styles ranging from modern to classic, titanium is also hypoallergenic, making it ideal for sensitive skin.

TR90, often called “plastic titanium,” is a high-performance memory polymer.   It’s extremely lightweight, flexible, and resistant to impact and high temperatures.   TR90 frames come in vibrant colors and are free from harmful chemical residues.   However, they are slightly less durable than metal over time and may fade, discolor, or weaken with prolonged exposure to heat or sunlight.

Acetate, a plant-based plastic (not nylon-based—common correction), is prized for its strength, rich color depth, and glossy finish.   Made from layered, high-quality sheets, acetate frames are precision-cut and hand-finished to achieve their final look.   The result is a sturdy, stylish frame that resists warping and fading, offering excellent durability alongside timeless aesthetic appeal.
