1. Get an eye exam at a local hospital or eye clinic (most recommended)
This is the option we recommend most. You can visit an ophthalmology department at a nearby hospital or an eye care clinic to have your eyes examined and receive an official prescription. In many cases, this exam can be covered or reimbursed by your health insurance, so it's often free or low-cost for you. Just make sure to ask the doctor for a copy of the written prescription (or a printout) before you leave, and send it to us afterward.

2. Use a previous prescription, if you have one
If you've had glasses made before and still have your old prescription on hand — whether it's a paper copy, a photo, or a receipt from your last purchase — you're welcome to send that to us. As long as the prescription is still current (generally within the last 1–2 years, since eyesight can change over time), we can use it to make your new glasses.

3. Visit an optometrist or optical store
You can also go to a local optical shop or optometrist's office and ask them to perform a basic eye/vision test. Most optical stores offer this service, and many will provide you with a printed prescription free of charge or for a small fee, even if you don't purchase glasses from them.
